AI Corrector tool
The corrector helps you use AI to correct student work. From an image or scan of the work, the AI assists you to correct and give feedback more efficiently.
Step 1: Name the session
Give the correction session a descriptive title (e.g. “December written test”). This helps you organize and find sessions later.
Step 2: Give context to the AI
So the AI can correct in line with your goals, provide context about the module or lesson:
- The content being assessed.
- Learning objectives for that lesson.
- Assessment criteria to apply.
- Expected level of difficulty for students.
Step 3: Select the group
Choose the group (class) the assignment belongs to.
Step 4: Start correcting
Click Start to open the screen where you upload the student’s work (photo or scan).
- Use the + (or similar) control to open a new tab for a new correction.
- Select the student; their name will appear on the tab.
- Upload the document (image or PDF) for that student.
- Click Start correction. The AI will analyze the document and suggest a correction. You can refine it in the chat until you are satisfied.
- When done, click Summarize and finish and then View correction. You can edit the final text before saving or sharing.
As in the rest of PragmaTeach, you can edit the final text to adjust any detail.
You can open several tabs and correct multiple assignments at once. For group work, you can select more than one student per correction.
When you return to the corrector later, you will see the history of sessions and all past corrections.
